TEALE—RUSSELL
A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Colomba's Presbyterian Church, Hororata, last week, when Mrs Agnes •J. Russell, daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Keltic, Hororata, was married to Mi John Teale, of Gientunnel. The Rev. .1. Bates officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr H. Bennett, looked charming in a dress of white silk, and hat to match. She carried a prayerbook with white streamers. The bridesmaid, Miss Myra Russell, daughter of the bride, wore a white silk dress. Airs H. J. Montgomery (Oamaru) was maid of honour, and Mr Walter Bennett wa* best man. Afteir the ceremony a. reception was held at the bride's residerice; also a social evening. Amongst the guests were Mr and Mrs J. Wilson and family, Mr and M,rs Page, Mrs P. P'hillips, Mrs Montgomery, Mr and Mrs Bruce and family, Mr and Mrs Bennett, Mr W. Bennett, Mrs Tranter, Misses I'i. E. Nelson and E. I. Batchclcr. PARNHAM—RAMSAY. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Bartholomew's Church, Kaiapoi, yesterday, when Mr Leonard J. Parnham,. second son of Mr and Mrs W. E. Parnham, Kaiapoi, was married to Miss Amy Ramsay, daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Power, Kaiapoi. The Rev. J. Holland officiated. The bride, who entered tho church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a lovely gown of ivory duchesse satin, trimmed with silver tissue, the long court train being caught up with orange blossoms and pearls, and lined with pale pink. A handsome veil wfvs worn,- and she carried a beautiful bouquet of white hothouse flowers. Miss Hilda Parnham (sister of tho bridegroom) attended as bridesmaid. She was dressed in a dainty frock of pink net, embroidered with beads, and hat of black lace and tulle, with posies of French flowers. Mr C. Burrowes (cousin of the bridegroom) acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Orange Hall, Mrs G. Power (mother of the bride) receiving the guests in a blue' costume, with hat to match. Mrs W. E. Parnham (mother of the bridegroom) was in mauve crepe de chine, with black hat, trimmed with mauve. Later in the afternoon, Mr and Mrs L. J. Parnham left on their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a smart costume of fawn gaberdine, and hat of hennacoloured straw. In tho evening, Mr and Mrs \Y\ E. Parnham entertained a number of relatives and friends in the Orange Hall.
FARMERS' CO-OP. BALL.
About, three hundred dancers attended the first ball since the war of the New Zealand Farmers' Co-op. Association last evening. Despite the unpropitious weather the ball, which was neld in tho Art Gallery, was a great success. Tho dancing, lounge, and supper rooms were all transformed by artistic decorations of salmon and black panels, and baskets of greenery and spring flowers. Delightful music was supplied by Miss Macdonald's band, &nd Messrs Dunstan and Erasmuson acted a> M.C.'s. Th© committee who arranged the ball were Misses Varrie, .Allan, Duke, Pearce, Toon, and Giles, and Messrs H. Veiteh. Dunstan, Butler' Guy, Griffiths, Bissett. HaberfielcU
