Presiding over the annual meeting of i the Anti-Vaccination League, at West- [ minster, Lieutenant-General A. Phelps 6aid that there was to him something in tho idea that medical men, who relied on the progress of disease for their remuneration, could be enthusiastic in the interests of health. The two things were incompatible. A member of the League who had served for two and a half years in tho Army stated in a letter to the meeting that if a true return could b© made of the number of deaths and cases of snjurv and sickness resulting from the inoculation or vaccination of men in tha Army, the figures would rrise a storm of protest.
