Ho re-; plied that ho could not go into details, but Cabinet had practically agreed to his proposals, and he was having legislation prepared for submission to Parliament next session. His intention was to nnke such arrangements regarding prosnecting and investigation as to ensure «f thorough testing of the Dominion's mineral resources. It would bo ncccssary to have a measure of re- , organisation, and a full staff of experts for the Minos Department, in order : that samples and proposals submitted j might be reported upon quicker than , was possible at present. •
