When a train from Soss ; was approaching Hokitika, a car, i driven % by Mrs "W. J. Sutler, with Mrs 1 >'. A. E. Gregory as a passenger, met the ; train head on. - The train was then . fast polling uu. When a collision ap- J peared inevitable, Sirs Gregory jumped out, receiving a bad injury to her head, and her right Arm was badly crushed above the elbow. Mrs Butler, who remained in the car, was not injured, tho car being pushed back T>y the engine. Mrs Grej£>ry*6 condition i 3 Tery serious. ANOTHER COLLISION.
