THE PREVAILING TYPE. „ (Anstralitn and N.Z. Ca-VU Association.) . LONDON. March 11. -A London bacteriologist states that tho prevailing influenza is duo to Pfoiffor's. bacillus, and the greatest success has accrued from inoculations with pure Pfeiffer bacillus vaccine. He asserts that the pneumonia mortality is primarily dno to the. weakening effect of the" influenea. Inoculation has bceu proved successful in preventing influenza, and hospital staffs are now endeavouring to discover a serum cure for it.
