Harris; third grade, Mr H. Wilson; the appointment of selectors for the fourth and fifth grades was left to the committee. The secretary of tko Union Club, Duneoill, wrote inviting a team to visit Dunedin and meet a team from the Union Club at Easter. It was decided, to refer the matter to the committee with a strong jccoiumendation that a team be sent.
Matters to be discussed at tho annual ( meeting of the Canterbury Hugby Union were left to tho club's delegates, who were givon a free hand. It was decided that the season bo opened ou April sth. On the motion or Mr C. Evans, members standing, it wus. decided..to convey the club's sympathy to the relatives of members killed at the ftont and of members who died during the influenza epidemic. After discussion regarding the establishment of a fifth rrrado section, it was decided to lecomuiend the committee to draw up a. circular to headmasters of schools, stating that tho club -would Ue pleased to receive boys leaving school as members free of subscription, and ashing that headmasters should recommend the boys to join the Linwood Club, aud supply the club with the liauips and addresses of boys who left school last rear.
The chairman said that- if the club got a nfth grade section going he would supply jerseys. [Applause.)
