Gunner Smith is well knowt on the Peninsula, where ho was ageni for Messrs H. Matson and Co. before snlisting with the Main Body. As Runner Smith has blen playing a greai deal of football lately, it is thought he may have mot with, the accident on tht football ground.

Mre Evelyn Clark, New Brighton, has been advised that her son, Private C. A. Clark, is returning to New Zealand, and will probably arrivo before Christmas. Prior to enlisting, over tlirco years ago. Private Clark was on the clerical staff of Messrs H. Matson and Co., Christchurch.
