When she arrived somebody told the captain to clear out, as ho was not wanted. The captain obeyed, and returned to Mudros. Tho troops landed, and wandered on ■the Peninsula, hetwfifen the Turks and Constantinople. They saw tho Dardanelles, but in the blazing sun they could net advance without water, as they were pa relied with thirst, and they wero obliged to withdraw.
