4 , RANGIORA. The moutlily meeting of tlie Eangiora County Council was held yesterday. Present —.Messrs F. Horrell, M. H. Stokes, H. Tallott, \Y. Stalker, I. D. Stewart, and A. .Mcintosh. An apology was received for the absence of Mr H. Burnett. ilr F. Horrell was re-elected .chairman for tli© ensiling year. The balance-sheet lor the half-year was adopted. Correspondence was received from the secretary 01 the Hospital Board, with reference to the influenza epidemic, also asking the Council to convey to all helpers their best thanks £or the magnificeut efforts of so many men and women. The chairman added hii testimony to the noble wort which had been done, and moved that- a general of thanks be recorded to ail those who baa assisted to fight the epidemic. ... The Hospital Board also wro*e, asking for particulms and names of thoss children who ' had suffered loss by the death of one or both | parents. The cjerk undertook to supply the information. . , It was resolved to invite tenders for the of cutting cocksfoot grass on the ro&ds in" the county. . It wa3 decided that the registration fee for ?h»ep and cattle dogs for the ensuing year be is Gd, and all other dogs 10s. Mr J. Dogsett waa appointed ranger.
