IN RESTAURANT IN MANCHESTER STREET. A lire broke out. in the Silver Grwl Restaurant in Manchester street at 2.10 this morning, and was still burning when wo went to press. There was, however, every prospect of the outbreak being confined to the silver Grid building. One woman, who was unable to make her oscape, was reputed to have been suffocated. Two of the boarders were reported to l>e missing. Tho proprietor's wife, wl«ile making her escape over the front verandah, fell through and was severely injured. She was taken to the Hospital. Four other lodgers in escaping also fell through t-lio verandah and rcccivcd injuries which necessitated their removal to the Hospital. Ten of the remaining boarders got out in their night attire, and took refugo in the Wellington Hotel.
