CADET PARADE.

A BIG MUSTER,

One of the biggest cadet parades ever held in Christch'urch took place on Saturday, when close on 1450 lads paraded, at the King Edward Barracks and subsequently marched to.the North Park, . The parade was under the charge of Captain Northeote, and the first battalion, under the command of CaDtain Farthing, and tho second, under the command of Lieutenant Hawkins. The first .battalion comprised Christ's Coilojze Cadets 240, Boys? High School 235, West- Christchurch D.H.S. 120, Technical College ,100; total 696; tho second battalion comprised the city companies of cadets to the number of 750. At., the North Park .the following work was inaulged in:—Squad drill with, and without arms', extended order drill and platoon; drill ivith lectures by the officers. At the conclusion of the work the cadets, their bugle bands making a brave noise, marched through some of the main thoroughfares of the citv back to the Barracks.
