Sir, —J wiil be very much obliged if you -will let mo know, in the event o' conscription coming iuto force, how a man in the following position stands: A young mau, by years of struggling cuicl ( hard work, lias managed to work up a very good business, and is paying off Ins Jiouse find section, and in the event of his being called up, is he to lose his business aud, perhaps, his house, or is he allowed compensation for the business that has taken years to work up, and being oue that is not saleable?— Yours, etc., INTERESTED.
