UNITED PIGEON FANCIERS CLUB.
♦ There was a good attendance of the United Pigeon Fanciers' Club on Friday night, Mr A. Smith, president, in the chair. Mr A.- Gapes was appointed to represent the club at the special meeting of the South Island Association, to be held on Saturday next in Christchurch. After tho business a club show was held for longfaced clean-legged Tumblers, the classes being broker, feathers and selfs other than reds and blacks. In the selfs Mr It. Fraser won with a beautiful white, a rare variety here. In the mottle class Mr A. Fraser scored with two nice black mottles. Mr A. Gapes had penned a nice team of Balds, and they were separated from the other broken feathers. Mr T. xi. Jones judged. This fancier then exhibited a team of odd colours he is working up, and which are of creditable quality. M r A. Fraser judged the class, the premier award to a oobby mealy. The next "home" show of the club will be for muffed Tumblers and tho pouting varieties and Fantails.
