Merinos were exceedingly firm. The following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named: Okare, top price average price 16Jd; Hikorangi, 17Jd and 16id- Orangi, 18d and 17d; Okirac, lßd and Otaiki, 194 and 17jjd. At the Kirwee salcyards on Friday there was an entry of 2000 fat and r> store sheep and lambs, and a good atII tendance of buyers. The demand for G all classes of sheep was keen, and late 0 values wore well maintained. Fat lambs sold at from 20s 3d to 24s Sd, fat wethers from 22s to 23s 9d.' Ferriman. sold the goodwill of Mr A. N. Anderson's farm of 113 acres, at Maytiold, to Mr Robert Montgomery, at JL'l2 5s per acrc. At Ashburton on Saturday, Messrs Fricdlander Brothers sold on behalf of Mr Mark Scott, two Timvald leases of land for a term of two years, at £2 6s per acre, to Mr T. Bradley. Messrs Pyne and Co. offereci a number of farms for sale on Saturday. Messrs McLaughlin's farm of 157 acres, at Dunsandel, was offered in two blocks, one of 100 acres being passed in at £27 10s per aero, and tho ..other of 57 acres was passed in at £lo 10s per acrc. A small farm of 34 acres at Darfield was sold at £900 to Mr R. Hall. A farm of 653 acres at Burnham was offered on behalf of Mr Goo. Parr, and was passed in at £*1G 15s per acrc.
