MAGISTERIAL.
(Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Three male first offending inebriates were each fined os, with the usual alternative, and a fourth, an old age pensioner, was convicted and discharged, after being admonished by the Magistrate to behave himself in pain of losing his pension. BURNHAM* BOY IN TROUBLE. Hikito Nehetapango, a Maori lad, who had e.scaped from Burn ham, was charged with entering the dwellinghouse of James Taylor, at Springfield, and stealing therefrom 3 gold brooches and a tweed cap, of a total value of £2 12s (id, to which accused pleaded guilty. The Magistrate convicted him, and ■ordered him to i>o sent back to Burnham.
