MESSAGE FROM THE KING.
PRAISE FOR NEW ZEALANDERS AT GALLIPOLI. MEN WELL AFTER- THEIR REST. (riIESS ASSOCIATION" TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, November 29. Lieut.-Colone] R. Hoaton Rhodes, in a communication to Colonel Allen from Alexandria, states that at Anr-ac Lord Kitchener gave him the following message from the King, for transmission to New Zealand :— His Majesty the King desires me to express his appreciation of the bravery displayed by the New Zealand troops at Gallipoli, and to say that ho is proud of their achievements; tLat theyiiavo made a name for themselves in history, and that their deeds will never be forgotten. Colonel Rhodes states that he visited tho New Zealand infantry in the trenches, and the mounted men at Bauchop's Hill They were well and in good spirits, and greatly improved by their rest at Lemnos.
