LYTTELTON' CLUB. The firot annual meeting ot the Lyttelton Bowling Club wan held in tho Excelsior Hall l**t evening, the president. Mr J. T. Norton, pteeiding over a good attendance. Tb<* president, in reviewing the work of tlie veiir, said that mattere had progressed us far fia itm possible with the initial staged of laying out the green in Oxford street. The waliing had bent completed, but the progress of tho green had been retarded by the Absence of rain. The Club had been i affiliated to the Centro of the I Zealand Bowling- Council, and members liad already received, recognition in other towns, ft *as hoped to open the green toward* the end of the year, but the financial snpect. oi *ihe Club wse one that required earnest consideration. Up to the present 63 members had paid their first subscription ot on? guinea, but outside of this no revenue had been received. It was agreed to open tho season on October. 10th. and competitions for the first month's play were arranged. HAXGIORA. CLUB. A meeting of the general oommitteo of the Bowling. Tennis. ami Croquet Club was held last evening, Mr T. B. Creaewcll (president) presiding over an attendance of - sixteen members. - A sub-committee was appointed to report on the present position of the Club debenturn*. Eight new members wero elected.
