Every seat in the Ashley Schoolroom ■was occupied on Friday evening last, on the occasion of ah entertainment held in connexion with tho Wesleyan Methodist Church anniversary. The chair was . occupied by the Rev. W. Wills, and a capital programme was , contributed to by the Rangiora choir. Mesdames Trollop© and Withers, Misses Ayres, E. Burns, Ina Geoffreys, H. Morgan, and M. Smith, Messrs C. Ayres, E. Collie, C A. Downing. C. Judgo, L. J.. Mitchell, F. W. Pi'lcher, and P. Withers, and a number of school children. Tho accompanists wore Mies Eileen Bowbyes and Mr Withers. A sale of produce, which was auctioned by Mr Downing, realised £4 los 6d. the total proceeds of tho evening amounting to over-£lO.
