STEADY RECRUITING.

At the Citizens' Defence Corps' recruiting depot, 152 rtereford street, those in charge had a busy time yesterday answering enquiries and registering applicants. To-date 47 men have registered at the bureau. Some of the men who havo to stay in town for a day or two are anxious to get odd jobs to keep them employed. Some have been sent to the Labour Bureau. It is suggested that if citizens who have any odd jobs they want done would make their wants known at the Recruiting Bureau temporary employment could thus be found for* several decent young fellows.
