ARTILLERY RESERVE CORPS.
A UNIT FORMED. A meeting of those interested in tho formation of an artillery reserve corps -\y_-a held in tho E Battery Orderly Room, King Edward Barracks, last niffht. Captain N. M. Duncui' presided, and there were present about thirty-two persons, chiefly ex-members of the E and other batteries. T'hoss present formed them-elveo into an artillery unit, and :t waa decided to hold over the question of status for diecutsion at a future meeting. Tho following officers wore elected:—Officer commanding, Captain Dimcaii; sectional commanders, ex-L:eut. Climio and ex-Sergt. Comyi-s (both formerly of. the . E Battery); oocrttarj', ex-Lieut, dimits. ■ A -. ■ Major B<-attie, who was present, then addre_6ed the meeting,' and _ kindly effered his services and tlic«se of his non-oommis-eioxuxl officers as drill ixetructore. Mijor Beattie was accorded a. hearty vote of thanks. It was decided that the -ra.it- should parade every Thursday night at 7.50 o'clock o£ tho King Edward Barracks. ;". . The election of non-commiecnoncd officers will take plaoo at a meeting to be held later. . ' . All ex-membere of artillery corps wiahmg to join tho unit aro invited to present themcelves at the E Battery Orderly Room, KingEdward Barracks, next Thursday evening.
