Mr Arthur Henderson, M.P., Leader of the Labour Party. Sir AVilliam Macgregor, Governor of Queensland. Mr Haniar Greenwood, M.P. KNIGHTS. Mr Henry Newbolt, the well-known poet. Dr. Frank Dyson. F.R.S., Astrono-mer-Royal. No new peers have been created. Sir Henry Newbolt -was born in 1862, and educated at Clifton College and Oxford. He wa.s called to the Bar in 1837, and practised tiil 1599. His book of verse, ''Admirals All," published in 1897. at once brought him fame. "Drake's Drum," "The Fighting Temeraire," and other stirring songs of action by Land and sea, aro well known throughout the Empire, and many thousands will be glad to hear he lias been honoured. Sir Henry Newbolt i 3 the author of several other books of verse, and some volumes of prose. He is a momber of the Council of the Royal Society of Literature, and Professor of Poetry.
