Interesting information regaidingthe ise of coin in the slot telephones tvas mpplied by the Postmaster-General to ihe Houso* of Representatives to-day. The revenue derived for tho financial v«.*ir ended 31st March last from the 'machines was £'2633, __d the number of machine- 4 ; installed at the end of tbo year was 93. The revenue for the month of April, 1914, was £338, tor May £317. and for June £323. The average takings per machine for April •were £3 13s Od, and for May £3 Os tod. Tlie number of machines in operation on Juno 30th, 1914, was 99. instnictions have been issued for the installa.iion of machines as quickly as possible a. eight sites in Auckland, eight sites in Ciiristchurcli, five sites in Dunedin. three sites in Nelson, and e-ght sites j., Wellington. The estimated total tost of thebc new machines' is £4691.
