DUNEDIN MAN'S DEATH. (By Cablo.--Fre_s A-Bociation.—CtoprrigM.) LONDON, July 0. ' James Mathieson, of Dunedin, a wellkrown stock-dealer, was found drowned at Felixstowe. He had been staying at the Kenilworth Hotel (London), whero a doctor, found that he had a clot of blood on the brain. At the inquest an open verdict was returned.

DUNEDIN, July 10. Mr James Mathieeon, the stock-dealer found drowned in England, Avas a natiA'o of Scotland, and 81 years of ago. Ho arrived in Dunedin in tho early days, and followed the pursm", of a stock-dealer in Otago, being well known and highly respected. Mo retired a good many years ago, taking up his residence in Dunedin. In June. 1912, ho made a tour of the Dominion, which ho followed up by leaving Auckland a few months "later for Canada, afterwards traA'clling through the United States, England, Scotland, and tho Continent, returning to Dunedin quite nnexpectedIv in May of last year. Two months later ho again left the Dominion for London, via Canada and the United States. Tn letters writtcu to a friend in Dunedin, he complained of having Ifrad a severe illness as a result of a clot of blood on the brain, but ho held cut hopes of a complete, if somewhat slow recovery, but was quite aware of his danger. Deceased had no relations bcio. His wife.died mary years ago.
