A well-attended public meeting wa_ bold in St. Peter's -choolroom, Upper Riccarton, yesterday afternoon, when addresses wero given by Mr T. Teschemaker and Mr Cameron. A motion on similar lines to those passed at other meetings, in favour of tho Referendum hill, was carried unanimously, with applause.
A resolution in favour of a referendum was passed at the Circuit quarterly meeting of the Ashburton Methodist Church.
