MRS PANKHURST ARRESTED
BURNS'S BIRTHPLACE IN DANGER.
(By Cable.—Presi Association.—Copj-TifibO LONDON, July 8. Mrs Pankhurst resumed her duties at the suffragette headquarters in Kingsway, and was immediately ro-arrcsted. Two suffragettes, at daybreak, attempted to blow up Burns's birthplace. A watchman discovered them placing large bombs against the building. He captured one, but the other escaped. Granville Drew was sentenced to two months' imprisonment for publishing the "Suffragette." Nellio Hall and Graco Rae wore found guilty of conspiracy, and wero each sentenced to three months' imprisonment. Another, named Armes, was found not guilty and discharged. Hal! and Rae, at the outset, wero ordered to the cells for shouting and throwing a book at the judgo.
