The German liner Oborhausen, which has arrived, reports that the chiei steward, Stadlal, disappeared siter leaving Fromantle. • Subsequently one of the crew was arrested and placed in irons. , It is 1 alleged that thero was. a disagreement, and the chief steward was felled with a beer bottle, and the body thrown overboard. As tho tragedy occurred on a foreign vessel on the high seas, tho police are unable to take action. Ii is proposed to send the arrested man to Germany for trial.
