THE LICENSING QUESTION.
Replying to a deputation from the New South Wales Alliance asking for the bare majority vote, the earlier closing of hotels, and State option, the Hon. D. R» Hall, Minister of Justice, said that pressure of business made it impossible for tho requests to be considered this session, but ho would sympathetically placo them beforo his colleagues nextsession. They had little hope of securing much in the way of liquor reform during tb© currency of the present Parliament.
