OXFORD.
A largo and representative meeting of No-license workers and sympathisers was held in the Coronation Hall,- Oxford, on Monday night, when addresses were given by Mr Henry Righton. financial organiser, and Mr R. P. Herps, district organisor. A mistake occurred in the report of the Oxford ploughing match. The team driven by E. W. Leslie*, tho winners in Class C, and which secured the special prizes for best-kept harness in daily use, best-groomed team on the ground, best-groomed district team, and best-matched team, was owned by Mr T. Powell. The following aro the winners in t\o recent dog trials at Oxford:—-Class I. (long pull) :T: Sheridan's Jed, 2-5 points 1; A. Turpin's Tip, 21 points, 2; C Gray's Tip, 20 points, 3. Special prize, for district dogs winning most point** and not being a first prize-taker: Mi Mather's prize of £1 Is; A. Turpin, 21 points, 1. Special of 10s. A. Turpin, -li points, 2. Class 2 (Huntaway): C Gray's Soott, 29 points, 1; W. T. Pol lock's Don, 19 points, 2: J. TV. McAdams's Stump, 14 points, 3.
