Mr D C Bates, Government Meteorologist, mpnlied-thc following weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:Atmospheric pressure ie still high in the North, but has decreased steadily in the South. Misty rain baa been experienced on the West Coast and in the southern districts of tho South Island, and ckufly weather is reported generally, with moderate to strong northerly and westerly winds. Present indications are lor a, falling barometer everywhere, and a change in weather conditions; expect cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain following: generally, and increasing northerly and westerly: winda.
