CAXTERBUBY CLUB'S OPEN MEETING
The members of .the Canterbury Chess Club.held an open meeting last night, when there was a fair attendance, including a number of visitors. The president . (Mr E. E. Sevornc) welcomed the visitors, and stated that final arrangements had been'made for a telegrai&io match with the on the IStb. and 33th insts. Ho also stated that tho Mew Zealand Chess Year Book had bcro received, and copioa were available to mombore. • .. •■■■'. Mr S. S. Blaekburno .presented the club with tho latest work of Alain C. White, on "Cheea Problems," and was accorded a hearty veto of tbanks. .
