LONDON, Februry 21

Arrangements have been completed between the Amalgamated Wireless of Australasia, Limited, and the Post-master-General, reducing the rates on wireless messages exchanged between Australian coast stations and ships at eea. *

The reductions apply to ship* registered in Australia and New Zealand, and trading exclusively to Australian ports, and operates from May let.

The present rates are tenpence per word, whereof fourpence goes to the ships and sixpence to the coast stations.

The new rate will be fivepence, whereof the ship will take twopence and the coast station threepence, plus a level land line charge of a penny per word.
