OAMARU, February 21. A good many samples of new season's grain have como on to the market, but as there is a wido difference between growers and merchant as to value, little business has been done. MiUers also aro not anxious to buy. Velvet has sold at 3s 7d net, mixed Velvet and Redchaff at the same price, and Marshall's White at 3s 6d net at country stations. Tho price of A Garton oats has ranged from Is 7jd to Is 9d; Duns Is 5d net at country stations. There is not a great demand for barley, although it has been offering freely. A nice sample sold at 3s 2d less commission, whilo for medium quality 2s 3d net has been paid. Capo barley has sold at Is 8d net and Is 8d less commission.
