Yesterday afternoon "Messrs Tonks, Norton and Co., on behalf of the Public Trustee, offered for sale hy public auction, tho property at the corner of Linwood avenue and Brittan street. Linwood, belonging to the estate of tho late Edward Hiorns. Lot 1, a building section on Linwood avenue, containing lrd. Bper., and fencing, etc., was sold for £200 to Mr Thomas Marker, who also purchased Lot 2, a similar section, containing lrd. 12per., for tho same price, and £1250, Lot 3, containing the house, stables, garden, and buildings, with lac. lrd. 4per. of land, having a frontage to Linwood avenue and Brittan street. Lot 4, a section fronting on Brittan street, and containing 22.9 per. was 6old to Mr XV. S. Godfrey for £142 10s.
