(Received April 20th. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April lU. In the Houso of Commons, the Housing Bill framed by tho Dnionists was read a second time by 181 votes to 41. Mr W. H. Long promised that tho Conservative Government would favour Stato grants to local authorities. Mr John Burns opposed tho Bill, on tho ground that it was based on tho pernicious system of doles.
