The following were elected as an ! executive committee for the ensuing y c;vr: —Messrs A. H. Bourn (chairman), IJ. Ferguson, F. Tave'rner, Jas. Knight and "W. Spicer. The fees were increased in view of the loss on'the year to the , following rates: —Steers 2s -each, I maiden heifers 2s each, young cows 4s I each, old co%vs 8s each, seller and buyer respectively being charged half of the rates.

By conrtesv of Mr McKcllar, wo are able to publish the following comparative table of results of the Cattle Fund at Addington for tho last eight years. Tiie percentage of claims show a gradual increase since 190G, and the conclusion arrived at is that tuberculosis is not lessening in the herds, and would to some extent bear out the contention of many experts that inspection and testing of bulls would prevent disease, whereas the system of condemnation of animals at the abattoirs can only protect the consumer of meat and not stamp out the disease. COMPARATIVE TABTVES, 1906 to 1913. STEERS.
