SAILING RACES.

The three sailing races ca -ho programme &trracied a gteat deal cf interest, although they -were spoiled in their early stages by a calm. got a lea<i on Onawe. loranpi was. bowling along throughout the race. «cd kept her bi;r tcad, and sho finished an easy first, one minute btfore Kia Ora completed her third round, Onane- V-e-ing e.ghteen minatcs astern of Kia Ora at that position. Although marred somewhat in its esriy <tage* by a calm, this vras a fine race after the boats got going with a, fresh easterly wind. There was f<ome very close sailing in the third round. To Arai finished first, followed forty uecondK late: by Moamv, with Viking, Wiiterwitch. Muna. Rons., and Iranui in that rder.
