A combined Catholic picnic and sports will bo held at the Riccarton racecourse to-day Special trams will leave Barbndoos street at 8.55 a.m., and Cathedral square at 9.3 a.m., hot water and milk will be provided by the committee free of charge, and refreshments will be obtainable on the ground. Tho programme of sports includ.es a grand demonstration handicap (three distances), and tug-of-war and relay races. There ivill also be special prizes for the Irish jig and Highland fling.
