Trees for miles wero stripped, their leaves forming a perfect carpet beneath their.. Numerous windows were smashed. The hailstones wero tho size of tennis balls, and weighed over a quarter of a pound. Galvanised iron roofs were dented and in some cases pierced. Several horses wero knocked down,, and a number of live stock killed.
