LONDON, December 3. H.M.S. Orion, using 6ervico control, beat H.M.S. Thunderer, with Admiral Sir Percy Scott's director. The Orion demolished tho target at 10.000 yards, while tho Thunderer missed with tho first threo salvos, but succoeded with tho two last. ALLEGED LIBEL. LONDON, December 3. Baron Graves is suing the Earl of Galloway for alleged libel. It is alleged that the Earl of Galloway wrote to Baron Graves's son, Clarence, suggesting that Baron Graves had induced Captain Fyers to invest in a shaky Yukon gold mine. Baron Graves, giving evidence, said that ho invested £50,000 in the venture himself. OXFORD UNIVERSITY. LONDON, December 4. By a large rimjority the congregation of Oxford University removed the restrictions confiniing theology examiners to Anglioans, and also decided to open the Divinity degree to non-Anglicans. TRAIN COLLISION. NEW YORK, December 4. Two trains belonging to the Pennsylvania Railroad Company collided at Zanosville, Ohio. Both wero wrecked, and the cars reduced to matchwood. Five passengers were kil.ed and twenty injured.
