Cloudy and unsettled weather with rain haa been reported generally and fogs to-day on the Eaat Coast of tho Sou'Jh Island. Southerly gales aro reported this evening from Cape Campbell and Wanganui, but the winds have moderated to-day in most parts of tho Dominion. '

. Present , indications are for showery and changeable conditions, probably improving temporarily in most parte of tho , country. Tho barozne'er is unsteady and trie winds aro variable and moderating at present, , 'but increasing northerly breezes will probably prevail ehoitly for a low pressure area due to pass in tho South about Sunday night.
