TO-DAY'S lIUGBY MATCHES POSTPONED.

On account, of tho bad state of tho grounds all Rugby games set down for to-day have been postponed.

(PEESS ASSOCIATION s£LXattAM.l NAPIER, July 12. The weather prospects for tho interIsland football match to-morrow are considerably brighter. Steady rain fell all through tho night, but to-day the sun is shining brilliantly, and if theso conditions continue, the ground should be in fairly good order. A great number of seats have been booked, and tho attendance promises ts> establish a local record.

WELLINGTON, July 12. Tho Poverty Bay representative team to play against Canterbury for the Brown Shield to-morrow is as follows :— Goal J - H ; S backs, A. Webster (captain), Herbert Hughes; halves H J. Oates, J Suraner, J. Wcstenhohne; forwards A Read, W. Winks, H. Greene J. Wallace and W. Hannah. Messrs Mawson and Binnie are ioint managers. The team will arrive by the Maori to-morrow morning.
