COST OF LIVING COMMISSION

(rnrss association telegiiam.) WELLINGTON, July 12. Th« majority of the members of tho Cost of Living Commission returned to their homes to-day. The secretary, Mr J. W. Collins, of th c Labour Department, will remain in charge of the affairs of the Commission until tho printed evidence is received from the Government printer, which will bo in about v fortnight. The. Commission will then again meet and draw up its report for submission to hie Excellency the Go% r ernor. Meanwhile the members are instituting investigations into certain matters upon which they have to report, matters which they cannot deal with from evidence, such as the comparative cost of living in other countries. Altogether tho Commission heard about 300 witnesses. They commenced their sittings at the end of May Inst.
