FORGERY AND UTTERING.
Ernest Edward Needham, for ivhoni Mr Leathern •appeared, pleaded guilty to forging and uttering a cheque, for _*o. Mr Leathern said prisoner was already serving a sentence of six months for false pretences, three months of which he had already served. Mr Leathern said ho would have to admit that the man's record was bad. He understood prisoner was a remittance man. His Honour read a list of prisoner's previous convictions. Prisoner was sentenced to two yea's and six months' imprisonment, to run concurrent with his existing sentence. Tho Court then adjourned till 10 o'clock this morning.
