DEFENDED CASES. James Leney, of Ellesmere, farmer (Mr Goodman) claimed £15 from H. A. Boyle, of Ellesmere, stockdealer (Mr Flesher), for that defendant sold plaintiff two cows on 2nd August, 1911, warranting them sound and in calf. Neither of the cows was in calf, and ono of them had since died of tubeiculosis, with which it was alleged it was affected at tho time of sale. Aftar | evidenco had been heard at considerable length, judgment was given for plaintiff ~for £10 and costs. Ronald O. Duncan, of Christchurch, estate agent (Mr Russell), claimed £90 from Margaret Bainbridge Matson (Mr Harper) for commission for selling on or about 7th July, 1911, for and at the request of Ihe defendant a property si'aiate in Bedford row for the sum of £6250. After lengthy evidence hal been heard his Worship reserved his decision. JUDGMENT SUMMONS CASE. Henry Edward Cust (.Mr Alpers) asked for an order against Max Emil Gjedsted (Mr Cassidy/ Defendant iopearcdand was examined. No order was made. (Before Messrs J. H. Seager and H. Langford, J.P.s). MAN_ CHARGES. Edwin James Steele pleaded guilty, afteir evidence had been heard, to having stolen a .cycle valued at £10, the property of Wehing .Martin Hart, at Sydenham, on tho 3rd February, 1912 He was committed to tho Supremo Court for sentence. Accused, evidenco having been heard, pleaded guilty to having broken v _nd entered the dwelling of William Hutchins, at Sydenham, on 13th Fet- > ruary, 1912, and stolen therefrom £3 10s in money, the property, of tho said vVillinm Hutchins, and a necklet and cross, valued at 21s. th© property of iimily Denham. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.' Accused also pleaded guilty to haviug stolen from, dwelling of Hannah -Hancock, at Cashmere, on or about Bth February, 1912, £5 17s in money, and two gold rings, valued at £5, the property of Ethel Maud Hancock. He was committed to tho Supreme Court for sentence. Ho then pleaded guilty to havin.; i broken and entered the dwelling of Thomas Kane, at Opawa, on 29th January, 1912, and stolen £5 10s in money, a watch, and a pocket knife, valued at £10 12s 6d, the property of the said Thomas Kane, and to a further j charge of having broken and entered by day tho dwelling of Andrew Leslie, lat Cashmere, on 4th February, 1912, and stolen thereftom £2 in money nnd a tie pin, valued at 20s, the property j of the said Andrew Leslie. Accused araa in each case committed to tho Supreme Court for sentence.
