MARKET REPORTS.

At Coalgato market on Friday 5960 sheep and lambs came forward, 121)1) being in the fat pens, of which fat lambs accounted tor 1220, tho bulk being of good to prime freezing quality, a fair proportion being tegs. A few lines were, however, wanting in finish. A few odd lots of fat ewes made up tho balance of fats. Ewes and ewes with lambs (merinos and crossbreds) formed nearly half tho yarding of stores, 2030 coming forward. There wero several pens of young and good sorts,of ewes, but a number were travelled, and dealers' lines. Tho balance of the yarding was mado up of 1150 crossbred wethers, and 1490 rapo and store lambs. There was a good attendance of farmers and others. Competition for fat lambs was about on a par with other markets, llapo and storo lambs and good condition and young sheep sold well, but prices for low condition, aced owes with lambs did not come ui> to vendors' ideas of value, and the bulk wero passed at auction. The following are tho prices:—Fat lambs 14s (3d to 15s Cd, tegs to 16s 2d, light unfinished 13s to 14s Id, fat crossbred ewes 8s 3d to 13s Id, ltapo lambs lis Id to 13s Id, store lambs 6s 3d to 9s 1 Id, two-tooth crossbred wethers 12s lid four and six-tooth (forward condition) 14s 2d to lis 9d, two-tooth crossbred ewes los to 17s 9d, mixed ages 12s lOd, sound-mouth 10s 9d to 14s, sound to failing lis lOd to 12s 4d, aged 7s lid, aged merino ewes 2s 9d to 3s 7d. Amongst the noticeable sales were:— 108 two-tooth crossbred owes 17s 9d. 72 at 17s 7d, 151 sound-mouth 14s. 726 four and six-tooth crossbred wethers 14s 6d to 14s 9d, 136 at 14s 2d, 52 Rape lambs (wethers) 13s Id, 366 mixed sexes 12s Bd. 498 at 12s. 118 store lambs 9s lid. 10.3 at 9s Id, 79 fat lambs 16s 2d, 40 nfc los Cd. 123 at los 3d, 95 at los 2d. 98 at 15s 2d. 263 at 14s 4d, 144 at 14s 3d.
