MARLBOROUGH BARLEY MARKET.

(bpecial to ''the press.")

BLENHEIM, February. 9.

Tho barley market in Marlborough may now be considered fairly opened. By far the.greater quantity of cereal changed hands at for priraest varieties up to 4s 6d, inferior sorts-4s to 4s 3d. The accepted price may' be considered highly satisfactory/well on a par with last year's operations. A paragraph/in Tuesday's "Press" was somewhat misleading. Farmers did not hold out for os €d. It was probably meant that they might get os 6d if they held out. * T
