BENEFIT ENTERTAINMENT.

A benefit entertainment, in aid of Branchman Johnson, of the Railway Fire Brigade, who was seriously injured by fire at the Brighton Gala, and of the widow and children of the late Mr Palethorpe, who was killed in a tram accident on Gala night, will be given at New Brighton to-night. The programme will include a swimming race, a pillow fight from the pier, high dive from the pier, relay dressing competition, exhibition with life-saving reel, and a fine dive. The Brighton Band will play during the evening.
