THE AUCKLAND EXHIBITION .

3lr G. Reginald Ford, secretary of the Industrial Association, has received , a communication from - the ; Auckland Provincial Industrial Association, conveying the following resolution, which was passed at a largely' attended meeting held at. Auckland on the 6th inst: — "That the committee of the Auckland Industrial Association, hearing that tho Christchurch Association has graciously consented to stand aside and allow the Auckland Exhibition of 1913 to take precedence of the one proposed to be held in Christchurch; desires to place on record its , sense of appreciation of this consideration, and assures our friends in Christchurch that this action on their part will not be forgotten when the Jjitno arrives for promoting a similar in that city. The Committee is also , very pleased to know that the members of tho Christchurch Association exonerate our Association from tho charges of claiming for Auckland any superiority over southern towns, which "may have appeared in the .public press,,and wishes to' state the hrm "conviction that this boastful spirit does not fairly represent the feeling of tho citizens' or Auckland towards tho Southern; parts of tho Dominion. ,, . '■■*"■', The following resolution has also been received from the Industrial Exhibition _ (Auckland) Committee :-— "That this Provisional Committee ,of the Auckland Exhibition of 1913 desires to place on record its sense of appreciation of the consideration shown by-the citizens of Christchurch in so graciously consenting to stand aside and allow the Auckland- ffxhibition to take precedence over the one proposed to be. held in Christchurch, and _ now gives an assurance of /our cordial co-oneratio'n and assistanco when the time; arrives for holding a similar exhibition in that city.''
