ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Enquirer.—All candidates pay their own election expenses, which are limited by law to £200. In the case of those who havo to contest second ballots the Government pays their additional expenses, which acn limited to £50. "EUesmore Elector" and "R.R.M."— During the election wo allowed every latitude to - those who differed from us to express their views, but we see no reason why we should now givo publicity to untruthful impertinences on the part of corresnondonts who do, not sign their names.
