The Canterbury Flying Club flew a race frcm Kaitoke. Seventy-two birds, repTewnticg fi7_ owners competed. The birds were liberated by tho stationm&stcr at 9 a.m. in fine weather. Tho winner wa3 Mr H. Browning's bird, which flow the dietanco of 222 loxlea in 5 hours 30 minutes. Tho folio—ini_ is the result: —H. Browning's biru, 1174 yds per minute; J. "VV. Blanchard's bird, 1170 yds per .ninute; P. D. "Wilson's biid, 1169 yds l>er minute: B. Ash-worth's bird, 1142 yds par minute; W. H. Hatrear's bird, 1130 yds per cinuto.
